This is where we are...

Last night at bible study I did a devotion from an article by Matt Slick from Christian Apologetic Research Ministry (carm.org). The article title was, "Christianity and Homosexuality". I was surprised with the normality of the issue. The term "normality" is a term that I use based on the open discussion that we had. How have "Christians" youth or not, come to the point where we are able to take God's Word and lower His standards that are clearly evident, to meet are own personal feelings or emotions on a situation or in circumstances? How? Someone please tell me how "God's Children" are not offended by the ungodliness of those who consider themselves the Body of Christ? Homosexuality is an abomination to God (Leviticus 18:22). In the old testament those who broke the moral standard of God that declares we should not change the natural use of that which is against nature; no man should lie with another man and no woman should lie with another woman, were dealt with in a manner that is worthy of capital punishment (Leviticus 20:13). The same God in the old testament is the same great and loving God that we serve today. He is guiding someone like me to post this blog post so that anyone who is reading may come to an understanding of how He feels about Homosexual immorality, so that maybe they will repent and be forgiven of the lawlessness against God. His grace is sufficient and His mercy endures forever. I am not provoking any kind of hate crime or malicious actions be brought upon any individual who practices Homosexuality, they are sinners just like myself who are in need of a Savior. God has supplied the need by sending His Son, Jesus into the world to be sin so that we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). However, God is still the same God, and instead of that transgressor being literally put to death, God may give them over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:26-28). They will become comfortable in their sins and have no conviction of wrong in their actions thereby finding no reason to repent and thus leaving no room for forgiveness which leads to salvation. Apart from God in eternity is worse than capital punishment, it is eternal punishment. To all of my brothers and sisters in Christ, be loving in all things and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people with the hope that God will grant them repentance (2 Timothy 2:24-25). Align your morality with the morality of God, afterall we are to be dead to ourselves and alive in Christ. It is no longer our will be done, but the will of God is to be perfected in us continually. If God does not like something, then we should not be fond of it ourselves. In love Pastor Chad.
